We are a technology company from Delft, engineering coating, solar and sensor solutions for the global energy transition. PAR+ is on a mission to increase yield inside greenhouses in a sustainable manner with a revolutionary coating. This past year, we have executed our first two pilots and achieved positive results on crop quality and crop growth. By converting UV light to photosynthetic active radiation (PAR) as well as altering the light entry condition, we can increase the yield of a greenhouse by as much as 7.5% annually. We use computer simulation to improve our design parameters where maximized crop yield can be reached. To verify the input from computer simulation, you will be helping us bridge the simulation to actual coating deposition and characterization with our Optics Engineer and Chemical Engineer.
What you’ll be doing?
- Conduct experiments aimed at characterizing optical properties of our wet coatings.
- Help us build new optical characterization tools
- Help design 3-D models based on raytracing for our next optical characterization tools.
Who we’re looking for:
- You are approaching the end of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical oriented education,
- such as (but not limited to) physics, applied physics, and optical engineering.
- You have experience with optical simulation and characterization
- You can work in a diverse team with multiple backgrounds
- You have a self-starting mentality and like to explore ways to improve
- You understand (or are eager to learn) wet coating optics
- You are fluent with English (both written and spoken)
- Experience with ray tracing software and/or python is a plus
