As a Field Engineer, you will help us install and service SENSE, the world's first Intelligent Building Management System based on building physics.

PHYSEE is an exponentially growing organization with an expanding product portfolio. Our SENSE systems are already installed and operating on multiple locations in the Netherlands, while we are constructing the next - even larger - projects. This requires someone who enjoys working on-site, making sure everything works according to our goals. But it doesn’t stop at delivery.

Our SENSE system which includes dynamic façades, is meant to improve over time and the Field Engineer will make sure it does. Delivering on time with high quality and guaranteeing high customer satisfaction. During and after delivery. You will be part of our amazing Operations team, currently consisting of 7 people.

What you’ll be doing?:

  • You will troubleshoot technical- (power and data) challenges in collaboration with a remote engineering team.
  • You feel comfortable communicating with a broad range of stakeholders in construction projects, building sustainable relationships.
  • Together with the team communicate with customers and users to onboard them in the use of our product and to share feedback on our product.
  • Not aspiring for a normal desk job but you are eager to get out to customers premises and get your hands dirty.

Who we’re looking for?

  • Someone with a degree in MBO Niveau 4 IT or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in industrial related IT projects.
  • Proven experience working with field elements (sensors, actuators, edge devices).
  • You walk the extra mile when supporting our clients.
  • You have a driving license.
  • Excellent spoken and written Dutch and English (B2/C1). German is a pre.
  • Preferably but not mandatory is experience with:
    • script programming (bash) and programming languages such as python to automate testing and commissioning tasks;
    • functional use of Linux OS’s Networking (network deployments, SSH, VPNs, etc).
  • IoT hardware platforms, IoT protocols and standards (MQTT, REST, 6LoWPAN, LoRa)
  • Proven knowledge and experience with industrial technologies and protocols (KNX, BACnet, MODbus etc.) is preferred.
